Joint expedition of Ionian University, HCMR, Ecosustain & Natural Environment Climate Change Agency in 5 Natura regions in Cyclades & 2 Natura regions in Evoia, monitoring more than 40 underwater caves & caverns, covering 455 nm, studying biodiversity & pollution.

Argolic Exploration

HIMA 2022

10 days exploratory expedition of the Hellenic Institute of Marine Archaeology in the Argolic Gulf, exploring for new findings of ancient wrecks as well as studying known deep ones. Several deep dives for field work and exploratory dives using scooters for scouting large underwater areas.

HCMR 2024

2 weeks expedition of HCMR in the Aegean Sea, monitoring Natura 2000 regions in Palaia Fokaia, Despotiko, Naxos, Schoinoussa, Keros, Daskalio, Plaki, Donoussa, Ikaria, Fournoi, Arkioi, Lipsi, Antropofas, Arefousa, Patmos, Mykonos, Gyaros

Gyaros MPA

HCMR 2020-2022

3 two-weeks and 2 ten-days expeditions, mainly in the island of Gyaros, as well as Syros, Tinos, Andros, Kea and Kythnos. Approximately 200 dives were conducted in total, including several ROV dives, and a few trimix dives, recording all underwater flora & fauna in specific stations.

Strofades

MOM 2021

Setting sail from Kyparissia in West Peloponnese, marine biologists and ornithologists recorded cetaceans and bird populations in the remote marine park of Strofades islands. Several transects were conducted with towed hydrophone and drone support.

Corinthian Gulf

University of Thessaly 2019

A series of 4 one-week expeditions took place in the Corinthian Gulf, from December 2018 to April 2019, conducting numerous transects, more than 500 nm in total, with a towed hydrophone for the study of local dolphin population.

Ionian Sea

HCMR 2019

In July 2019, a 7-days scientific expedition of the Hellenic Center for Marine Research in Western Peloponnese, Gulf of Patras and the island of Kefalonia  studying mainly Posidonia Oceanica, as well as local marine flora & fauna.

Modi

HIMA 2011

In September 2011, a 10-days archaeological expedition with 8 divers has been conducted from the Hellenic Institute of Marine Archaeology and the Ephorate of Underwater Antiquites in a Mycenaean ship wreck, off the islet Modi close to the island of Poros in the Argolic Gulf.
